DON'T TREAD ON ME - Enough with marijuana prohibition

Prohibition did not work with alcohol. We have been prohibiting marijuana use for over 70 years now. Over 15 million Americans smoke weed everyday. There are no deaths related to the use of marijuana. NONE, ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH! Yet, the main stream media and our so called "elected leaders" seem to think that marijuana is dangerous and life altering. The only reason marijuana is dangerous is because it is ILLEGAL. The only way it will ruin your life is if the police catch you with it. To all the nay sayers out there who think it causes lung cancer, blah blah! If it causes lung cancer, then how come NO one has ever gotten lung cancer due to marijuana? Oh yeah, you people also seem to think marijuana is a gateway drug. HAHA! I guess drinking water leads you to drink milk and drinking milk leads you to drinking alcohol. WHAT A GREAT THEORY! You win! /fail
Every day we keep marijuana illegal is another day that the Mexican drug cartels cause suffering for thousands of Americans living on the border. These violent drug lords wreck communities by kidnapping and murdering innocent Americans. You people who want marijuana illegal are promoting terrorism. Yes, YOU are giving these guys the incentive to come across the border and cause violence. If we were to legalize and regulate marijuana for personal use, we could cut the drug cartels MAIN source of income. This will not only reduce violence on the border but it will also reduce violence related to inner city gangs. They also gain a lot of revenue due to marijuana sells. In a regulated market, we could sell marijuana to adults 21 years and older. This will take the money out of the hands of shady drug dealers. These shady drug dealers will sell to your child who is not even 18 yet. They don't care how old a person is, as long as they are getting their money. In a truly regulated market, a minor has a much harder time getting their hands on it. You wonder by marijuana usage in minors is higher than alcohol and tobacco use. It is because alcohol and tobacco is regulated by authorized dealers. If they are caught selling to a minor they can receive a hefty fine or even lose their selling license all together.

It is time to open your eyes America. Stop believing the propaganda that Henry J. Anslinger cooked up in the 1930s. Stop listening to corrupt bureaucrats who take money from pharmaceutical companies, alcohol companies, and even tobacco companies. These people are suppressing your liberties. The very liberty that this country was founded on. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If marijuana is so bad, how come our founding fathers smoked and cultivated it? The very people who FOUNDED this great nation were major advocates of cannabis and hemp.

Enough is enough. Prohibition has failed and it is time to remove the stigmata from marijuana.

God made cannabis. Man made alcohol. Who do you trust?
